Official Updated War Weight Calculator For Clash of Clans

Updated Friday, August 25, 2017

We provide the only War Weight Calculator for CoC that is straight from the source, and we do it for FREE! Extremely easy-to-use, just enter the level and quantity of each item on your Base and it will automatically calculate everything for you!

100% designed and created by our very own Axys, even including a video tutorial shown here on how to best utilize it, the Calc is also designed to track the Weight of multiple Bases... up to 50 of them! As such, it can be used to calculate an entire Clan’s total War Weight!

Simply click on the link below to download the Official Updated Clash of Clans War Weight Calculator. Microsoft Office Excel is required to open this file. Otherwise, you can upload this file to Google Drive and start using it from there.

Please read the information below before downloading and watch the tutorial video shown here as there are a few things you should be aware of before you try to operate or download the War Weight Calculator.

Chief Tabs

There are two main sections of this calculator. At the individual level, each Clan member’s Weight can be determined and maintained very easily. Simply enter your information and your Weight is automatically calculated for you!

As you enter in information, edits will display to ensure your buildings and Troops are valid for your Town Hall level. In fact, the available cells in which to enter information will vary based on Town Hall level.  Additionally, once you have entered the max level for an item, it will be highlighted green.

You'll be able to see at a glance how close you are to a fully maxed Base - the greener it is, the closer you are to max! Groups are color-coded to show your heaviest Defenses and Troops (green=lightest, red=heaviest).

Steps have been added to help you determine if a base is engineered, and, if so, what the engineering classification of the base is.  This classification will be used during the war matchmaking process to ensure your clan is matched with a clan that has a similar number of engineered bases in each classification in your weight bracket.

Each tab is able to be renamed to match each member's gamername for easy planning. These changes also correlate on the Clan tab!

Finally, a notes section is included to help you document your plans: what to upgrade next, timeline, costs, etc.

Clan Tab

The other main section of the calculator is the Clan tab, and it’s the ultimate tool to help you and your Clan keep track of just how much War Weight you carry.

See the Weight of everyone in your Clan at a glance, and what your total Clan War Weight is!The list is color coded so that the lightest and heaviest Bases can be quickly identified.  Additionally you can determine which bases are engineered - and the level of engineering - which will impact the war matchmaking.

When it’s time to figure out who will be in the next War lineup, make your selections and see what your War Weight will be before you even go to War!  The War Weight Reduction Qualifier will ensure that the heaviest bases are counted at full weight, while the lighter bases are only counted at the proper percentage.

An Error flag will be shown on a Chief’s line when there’s an error on that Base, such as too many Cannons selected for their Town Hall level. This will indicate that the Weight calculation is not accurate and needs to be corrected.

Tips and Tricks

Here are some Tips and Tricks that will hopefully make it easier on you as you enter the information.

  • Upload this spreadsheet to the cloud, such as on GoogleSheets or OneDrive; in this way, a couple of people, or even everyone in your Clan, can maintain the Weights rather than having one person shoulder the whole burden.

  • Double-click on a Chief’s tab to rename it to the Chief’s name. This will make it easier to find someone’s tab, especially if there are many Bases loaded.

  • On the Clan tab, put a filter on the listing so that you can sort by name, Town Hall level, or even Weight.

  • On both the Clan and Chief tabs, be sure to only type in cells that are white, otherwise you may inadvertently type over a formula or edit and remove it!

Arranged Wars

One of the side benefits of the Clan Version of the War Calculator is that it can be used in arranged Wars!  Simply set a Weight range a Clan must fit in for the War - or even for the league challenges - and then use the calculator to ensure all of the added Weights of the War participants fall within that range.

This will help ensure Clans will be matched up more evenly, taking into account not only the defensive strength, but also the offensive capabilities. What an awesome use of the calculator, right?

You spoke, we listened!  There are now TWO different versions of the calculator available. Choose the version that works best for you!

CLAN VERSION 5.0

Updated October 16, 2017

In addition to the new language options, this version also includes the recent updates to the Builder Base and Townhall, which covers updates to the matchmaking process as well.  The Th10 Tiers were also added to help those who are competing in war leagues.  Of course, you will still be able to track the Base Weight of everyone in the Clan, plan your Clan's War Weight strategy, see at a glance how everyone ranks Weight-wise, monitor everyone's Matchmaking Flags, and compare everyone's ratios and hero levels.

A GoogleSheets link will now be provided separate from the Excel version so that it can be pre-optimized for you -- no need to delete those 1,000 empty lines Google so kindly added at the bottom anymore!

INDIVIDUAL VERSION 5.0a

Updated October 16, 2017

This version is for a single user and has the ability to only track the Weight of three Bases, so you could input your true Weight on one tab and then try some what-if scenarios on the other tabs. It also includes all the new bells and whistles described above in the Clan version.

Download Directions

Since this is an Excel Spreadsheet, the best way to download the file and be able to use it immediately is with a PC. You are also able to use this immediately with a phone if you can share a file someone else has already downloaded.

To get your own personal copy on a phone only takes a few seconds longer so choose the best option for you. Just follow the directions below to utilize Google Sheets, but be aware you need the Google Sheets app.

For the iPhone

  • Either select Open in App and then Save to my Dropbox, or click the Download button and then Save to my Dropbox
  • Once the spreadsheet is displayed, select More… and then Import with Sheets
  • Select the option to Save to Drive
  • It just saved the Excel spreadsheet, however it's still only viewable and the phone can’t interpret the formulas, so you’ll see many #errors.  To get past this, just select the 3 grey dots above to see the File Menu, and then Share & Export. Click Save as Google Sheets File.

For an Android Phone

  • Select Export, and then Save to Drive.  Once completed, select Open with Google Sheets File.  That's it…

For Both Types of Phones

  • Once completed, it may take a while to load the tabs for the first time -- and you may even get the never ending spinning wheel -- but I was able to get in more quickly when I reloaded Google Drive and just selected the file from there.
  • Boomchakalaka!!  Have fun!

A special thanks goes out to Axys for doing all the design, input, and formulas required for us all to benefit... much less all the behind the scenes work that was done! For any questions you may have, feel free to contact Axys at axys4coc@gmail.com
